Osborne could have raised £20 billion from a
Robin Hood tax. The Conservative Party
responded positively to the calls for a tax on financial transactions before the election and said it was looking into it. Ozzie's Bank levy will only raise £2 billion, which is peanuts compared to the £150 billion British taxpayers put into the collapsing banks. Instead we have welfare cuts and a VAT hike that will hit the poor and the consumer sector.
